The A-piary

We are going to embark on a bit of an adventure as you begin your study of Sue Monk Kidd's novel, The Secret Life of Bees. If you are familiar with the literature circle concept, this is very similiar. Instead of creating writing assignments in a journal or on a piece of paper, you will be entering your information on this wiki, creating an online conversation as well as a great study tool.
Every other chapter, you will have a different assignment to complete to help your group engage in a study and discussion of the novel. An alternate group will be completing the work on the remaining chapters. You will have the capablilty to have online discussion regarding the work as well. The materials on this wiki will be available to the public, so you should have a clear understanding of your audience. In fact, other students may hear of this wiki and want to review it as they study The Secret Life of Bees.
We will be learning not only about the book, but about different literary terms and their application . In addition, we have the opportunity to engage in using some interesting technology. If you will pardon the pun, this will really be "sweet."

NOTE THAT THIS IS THE SCHEDULE WITH INITIALS. UPDATED 11/3
